Position
Summary:
We are looking for an experienced job cost accounting associate to be responsible for processing and reconciling credit card transactions and assisting with AR Billing and AP invoice processing in a construction company.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process and reconcile high volume (200 - 400 per week) credit card transactions.
Follow up on open items with the field personnel to ensure that credit card receipts are submitted in a timely and correct manner.
Process Billing to Customers via third-party websites.
Process accounts payable in compliance with financial policies and procedures Record appropriate vendor, job number, expense account number, and tax information when processing payments Prioritize invoices per cash discount potential and payment terms Investigate and resolve any identified discrepancies in a timely manner Respond to team member and vendor inquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner Maintain accounts payable records and files per department policies and procedures Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, vendors, and the management team Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills Assist with other projects as needed Company

Qualifications:
Minimum 5
years of accounts payable experience.
AP experience in a construction environment is preferred but not required.
Experience with reconciling high-volume credit card transactions is preferred.
Experience with AIA invoice format, sub-contracts and lien waivers is preferred but not required.
Strong Excel skills including the ability to download, sort, filter and format data in MS Excel.
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, and use of a financial chart of accounts.
Ability to interact and communicate with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines RJB Contracting, Inc.
